Community Guidelines

ChooseMe is built around real people, real activities, and real experiences. These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect from hosts, guests, and anyone interacting with ChooseMe so the platform feels welcoming, respectful, and safe.

1. Purpose of these Guidelines

ChooseMe exists to help people discover and share meaningful experiences, activities, skills, workshops, tours, and local knowledge. A strong community depends on trust, clarity, respect, and safety.

These Guidelines are designed to help everyone understand what is expected before, during, and after an experience.

ChooseMe is not a casual listing board. Our goal is to build a structured experience platform where hosts are reviewed, experiences are understood, and users can feel comfortable participating.

2. Who These Guidelines Apply To

These Guidelines apply to anyone who uses ChooseMe.com, submits a form, communicates with us, applies to become a host, books or attends an experience, appears in marketing content, or interacts with ChooseMe through email, WhatsApp, social media, or any other channel.

They apply to hosts, guests, potential hosts, website visitors, partners, team members, and community participants.

3. Respectful Conduct

Everyone on ChooseMe should be treated with dignity and respect. We expect clear communication, patience, honesty, and basic courtesy at all times.

  • No harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, hate speech, or abusive behavior.
  • No discrimination based on nationality, race, religion, gender, age, disability, background, or personal identity.
  • No inappropriate, sexual, exploitative, or unsafe conduct.
  • No pressure, manipulation, or behavior that makes another person feel uncomfortable.

4. Honest Profiles and Listings

Hosts must describe themselves, their experience, location, availability, pricing, inclusions, exclusions, and requirements honestly. Guests should be able to understand what they are joining before they commit.

  • Photos, descriptions, and claims should accurately represent the experience.
  • Hosts must not copy another person’s content, falsely claim qualifications, or mislead guests.
  • Any risks, physical requirements, age restrictions, dietary limitations, language requirements, or special conditions should be clearly stated.

5. Host Standards

ChooseMe intends to vet and screen hosts before allowing them to be publicly featured. This may include reviewing host details, experience descriptions, communication quality, online presence, professional background, references, submitted materials, and other trust signals.

Hosts are expected to:

  • Provide accurate information during onboarding and profile creation.
  • Offer experiences they are genuinely capable of hosting.
  • Arrive prepared and on time.
  • Communicate clearly with guests before and during the experience.
  • Prioritize guest safety, comfort, and clarity.
  • Follow local laws, venue rules, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Tell ChooseMe about meaningful changes to the experience before guests attend.

6. Guest Standards

Guests also play an important role in keeping the community safe and enjoyable.

  • Provide accurate information when signing up, booking, or communicating.
  • Arrive on time and follow reasonable host instructions.
  • Respect the host, other guests, local communities, venues, and property.
  • Ask questions before booking if they have concerns about fitness, accessibility, food, transport, or safety.
  • Do not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs where it may create risk.
  • Do not bring additional people unless the host and ChooseMe have approved it.

7. Safety Expectations

Safety is central to the ChooseMe platform. Hosts should plan experiences responsibly and guests should participate honestly and carefully.

  • Hosts should identify obvious risks and explain them clearly.
  • Experiences should take place in appropriate, lawful, and reasonably safe environments.
  • Hosts should not offer activities that require licenses, permits, specialist training, or insurance unless they have the required approvals.
  • Guests should disclose relevant limitations or concerns where needed for safe participation.

For emergencies, users should contact local emergency services first. ChooseMe is not an emergency response service.

8. Prohibited Behavior and Activities

ChooseMe may reject, remove, suspend, or restrict any profile, listing, message, user, or experience that creates risk or undermines trust.

  • Illegal activities, fraud, scams, or misleading offers.
  • Weapons, violence, dangerous stunts, or unsafe activities without proper approval.
  • Sexual services, adult exploitation, matchmaking, dating, or romantic solicitation.
  • Drug-related activities or promotion of illegal substances.
  • Hate, extremism, harassment, or discriminatory conduct.
  • Animal cruelty, exploitation, or irresponsible wildlife interactions.
  • Experiences that put guests, hosts, local communities, or property at unreasonable risk.

9. Platform Integrity

ChooseMe should be used for genuine experiences and community-building. Users should not misuse the platform or attempt to bypass platform safeguards.

  • Do not submit fake profiles, false reviews, copied listings, spam, or misleading content.
  • Do not pressure users to move communication, payments, or arrangements outside approved ChooseMe processes where those processes are available.
  • Do not use ChooseMe to collect personal information from others for unrelated purposes.
  • Do not impersonate another person, brand, company, or organization.

10. Reporting Concerns

If something feels unsafe, inappropriate, misleading, or uncomfortable, users should contact ChooseMe as soon as possible. Reports may relate to host behavior, guest behavior, profile accuracy, experience quality, payment concerns, safety issues, or communication problems.

Please include the experience name, host or guest name where available, date, screenshots if relevant, and a clear explanation of the concern.

11. Enforcement

ChooseMe may review, edit, reject, pause, remove, or restrict profiles, listings, content, bookings, users, or communications if we believe these Guidelines or our Terms of Use have been breached.

Depending on the situation, we may issue a warning, request corrections, require additional screening, suspend a host profile, remove an experience, restrict guest participation, or permanently remove a user from the platform.

12. Updates and Contact

We may update these Community Guidelines as ChooseMe develops and as we learn more from hosts, guests, and platform activity. The latest version will be posted on this page.
